 Odds-N-Ends

♫       SNOW DAYS will most likely happen with the lovely weather we have here in Western New York…in the event of a studio closing, check YNN Rochester (formerly R-NEWS), Channel 13 News, the DKD Voicemail, or the DKD web-site.

♫       The Flu has been going around, as you already know! If your child has symptoms of the flu, please do not bring them to dance. Although we urge attendance, we do not want to risk spreading the flu around the studio.
We have been taking precautions around the studio to help keep the flu out of DK Dance, so please help us with this.

We have anti-bacterial “magic-soap” in the dance rooms, and in the waiting areas. Urge your dancers to keep their hands away from their mouth and face, and wash their hands frequently.

♫       Have a Birthday Coming Up?! Consider having a FUN, LOW-COST, Birthday Party at DK Dance!!! All ages!!! Check the web site for more information!

♫       Congrats to Miss Jill on the arrival of her new addition! Miss Jill is scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday, November 3! We will keep everyone posted on the status of the new future dancer. J

♫       Miss Kirstin is our new ballet teacher on Wednesdays and she began teaching the beginning of October! She is traveling from Brockport to instruct your students, and we are very lucky to have her! She grew up in the Syracuse area, and graduated from SUNY Brockport with her dance degree. The kids love her and we are very happy she is a part of DK Dance! J

♫       Please pay attention to “Notes” in and around the dance studio and on the studio web site! We are trying to eliminate to use of the TONS of trees we were killing in printing tons of newsletters every month. We have the newsletters on the bulletin boards and in the front window, and on the web site. Unfortunately, many people did not see this information. We have your emails in the computer system and have sent out emails pertaining to payments and monthly news. If you have NOT received an email, please either email dkdance@hotmail.com, or let us know in the office.

♫       If you are on FACEBOOK….find Miss Dena (Dena Kay Ewin) and become her friend and join the DK DANCE group!

A message for the Dancers of DK Dance:

Dancers should remember to have their hair up, out of their face…. before class begins, and not to be reminded when class begins. Dancers should also have the appropriate dance shoes and apparel for class. Please use the lavatory before class begins to eliminate distraction.
Please be sure you are getting enough rest and eating healthy! Your immune systems are very sensitive, and getting enough sleep, eating healthy, and getting sufficient fluids will help strengthen it.
It is getting cold out…please wear a JACKET and PANTS when coming and leaving (no matter how “hot” your are at the end of class).
